Auction – Preview June 18 at
5pm at Brecknock Hall, Peconic Landing
Auction June 19 at
11am at Peconic Landing Community Center Auditorium
There are
two ways you can support OHS through this event.
1.
Attend!
This auction will be held at Peconic Landing on the morning of
June 19 with a wine and cheese preview the night before in Brecknock
Hall.
2.
Contribute
a treasure! Fine antiques and art donations are urgently requested and
will be very gratefully accepted! A special section of the auction will
be dedicated to FINE 20TH CENTURY AND CONTEMPORARY PRINTS AND DRAWINGS.
We already have donations by some of our most respected artists,
including Elizabeth Peyton and Richard Serra -- please consider whether
you have something you would be willing to contribute in this category!

North Fork Fresh
– June 19 5-7 pm Poquatuck Park, Village Lane Orient
Please
mark your calendar now for June 19, 2010 when NORTH FORK FRESH will
return to our beautiful Poquatuck Park. Come and start the summer season
by sampling local wines, seafood and farm fresh fare while renewing
friendships from past summers. Along the way you will support
Orient/East Marion's greatest treasure, the Oysterponds Historical
Society.
Plan on reserving early (323-2480), as attendance is limited. Looking
forward to seeing you there!

OHS Kids 2010
Fun workshops where kids discover history, explore their
talents and create something wonderful!
Before each workshop, kids will tour the OHS summer exhibition
"A Stitch in Time: What We Wore, 1776-1976"

Discover how clothing was colored in the past using
organic vegetable dyes & tie dye a t-shirt!

All workshops are 10:00 am— 12:00 noon
For kids ages 7—12
$2 per workshop per child—parents welcome
