Rum Running: Talk and Tasting with Historian Amy Folk

Saturday, October 19 | 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

In Hotels and Inns of the North Fork (2009), co-authors Amy Folk and Geoffrey Fleming fix their historian’s lens on the subject of Rum Running. During Prohibition times, our local small ports were a favorite stop on the Rumrunner’s map, contributing to the ‘leisure industry’ of the day. Amy will share stories based on archival research; mixologist Paul Monahan of The Lin will make a Sailor’s Rum Punch and share some tips. Drinks and appetizers served. This event will be held on the Village House patio. $20 per person. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
