Given the Oysterponds community’s historical connection and proximity to the sea, it is no wonder that OHS’s collection abounds with significant artwork and artifacts that have to do with ships, seafaring, whaling, etc. This permanent exhibition, on the 2nd floor of Webb House, is a compelling distillation of the many noteworthy maritime-related items in our collection; it features 16 of our maritime paintings, several fine examples of scrimshaw, navigational instruments, and seven of our ship models—many recently restored.

The Maritime Exhibition in Webb House opens on Saturday, July 2nd. Hours are Saturdays and Sundays 2pm to 5pm.

Admission for OHS Members and children is FREE.

Admission for non-member adults is $10, which grants same-day admission to all exhibitions.
