June 13th. As part of OHS's year-long commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the U.S.'s birth as a nation, the 3rd NY Regiment will recreate events that happened during the War of American Independence, specifically 1775 through 1783. The Regiment reproduces the daily routine of Revolutionary War soldiers, wives, families and camp followers. They dress in period clothing and drill with reproduction firelocks just as in 1775.
