Griffin Giving Circles

The  Griffin Giving Circles program is named after local schoolmaster, tavern keeper, store owner,
and Oysterponds diarist, Augustus Griffin (1767-1866), who lived on Village Lane. He was a descendant
of Jasper Griffin of England, one of the North Fork’s first settlers and, thus, symbolizes OHS’s
connection and commitment to the breadth and depth of the Oysterponds community’s history.

By participating in the Griffin Giving Circles program and by making a contribution (which is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law), you will help fortify OHS’s financial health and position us to continue, and even expand, our activities for the East Marion and Orient communities.

In 2020 the Founding Members of the Griffin Giving Circles Program—in the midst of a pandemic—answered the call and exhibited tremendous generosity and exemplary community spirit. Click here for more information about the Founding Members.
