Sept. 6th. Root, root, root for the home team! For the fifth year in a row, OHS will be hosting a vintage baseball game featuring a friendly-but-fierce competition between the powerful visiting NY Mutuals and a proud-but-ragtag team of Oysterponds irregulars.
The New York Mutuals Baseball Club fields a team in authentic replica uniforms and plays an actual nine-inning game–following bygone-era rules–using replica old-time equipment. Following the game, they’ll give the children in the audience a chance to play and swing a bat in a game called rounders.
