A centerpiece of OHS's year-long commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the nation's birth will be a presentation of a historically-accurate Revolutionary War encampment in Poquatuck Park by the New York 3rd Regiment. The event will be open to the public, family-friendly, educational, and free.

"Revolutionary War Encampment & Living History Day" is made possible in part through the generous support of the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation and its 250th Commemoration Grant for 2026. Their dedication to the local community makes this event possible, and we extend our sincere gratitude for their support.
