Opens Saturday, June 6th. Barbara Bloom was born in Los Angeles, California in 1951 and graduated from the California Institute of the Arts in 1972. She lives and works in New York City. Bloom has received numerous honors and fellowships including the Venice Biennale Due Mille Prize, Guggenheim Fellowship, Getty Research Institute Fellowship, DAAD Berlin Fellowship. Her work has been shown internationally including exhibitions at MoMA, New York; The Jewish Museum, New York; The Metropolitan Museum, New York; Gropius-Bau, Berlin; ICP, New York; Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh; The Serpentine Gallery, London; The Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam.
