Saturday, June 7 | 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
June 7th. Dr. Lucinda Hemmick and Ephraim Horowitz of the Southold Indian Museum will present a lecture on the ancient landscape of Orient and the Native People who once lived there. Explore 12,000 years of history, Algonquian culture and the landscape that changed from the Ice Age to the present day.
The technology of ancient hunting weapons, artifacts, maps, slides, LiDAR images, paintings and other images illustrate the talk. A question and answer period will follow.
Attendees are invited to bring any Native American artifacts that they may have in their collections if they’d like Mr. Horowitz and Dr. Hemmick’s help in identifying them after the talk.
