Employment & Internships

Currently, OHS does not have any open, full-time positions available.

Internships are available for high school and college students who are looking for in-depth projects with OHS. Our internship program is a great way to expand your education in history, the humanities, and museum studies. Projects are designed to meet the Society’s needs and your interests.

Hours and duties are flexible. Internships are unpaid and can be completed in conjunction with your school to fulfill community service and independent study requirements. Talk to your guidance counselor or department chair about receiving credit for your work. Interested? Contact the OHS office at  office@ohsny.org

Additionally, we’re pleased to announce that The Gardiner Foundation Young Scholars Internship at Oysterponds Historical Society (OHS) extends through the summer of 2023. The intern will learn about a variety of aspects of operations of a historical society with a focus on collections practices. For more info, click here.
